Eligibility

  • Holders of bachelor's degrees from Korea or overseas and students expecting to graduate in their final semester
  • Persons not disqualified from KAIST graduate school admissions
  • Persons not disqualified from receiving KAIST scholarships or ordinary scholarships

Student type: KAIST scholars and general scholars

  • KAIST scholars refer to students whose educational expenses are partly supported by KAIST scholarships, external government funds, and faculty research grants. Students enrolled in the Master of Entrepreneurship and Innovation program receive partial funding under the Ministry of Science ICT Planning's budget for the "nurturing of bold, creative talent." Those who have an affiliated organization at the time of application may apply to become a KAIST scholar under the Master of Entrepreneurship & Innovation program if they intend to resign upon admission.
    • - Admission shall not be granted for leave of absence from the affiliated organization; only resignation shall be accepted.
    • - Your admission shall be canceled if you are found to have an affiliated organization.
  • General scholars are individuals employed by a company, which pays for the cost of education. Applicants employed by an affiliated organization such as an enterprise or research institute may only apply to become general scholars, and not KAIST scholars under the Master of Entrepreneurship & Innovation program.

Prohibition of Dual Enrollment

  • Students enrolled in a program at KAIST are prohibited from enrolling in other programs.
  • Applicable period: Effective from the date of admission
    • - Students may be enrolled in other programs at the time of application, but admission shall be canceled once dual enrollment is discovered after the date of admission.

Prohibition of Dual Application

  • Applicants can apply to only one department (school)/program, and applications shall not be considered in case of dual application.
    • - Dual applications to master's programs, professional master's programs, MS-PhD integrated programs or doctoral programs are not allowed. Applicants can only apply to one department.
  • Prohibition of dual application applies to the semester of admission (including admission rounds)
    • E.g. All admission rounds for spring 2017, all admission rounds for fall 2017
  • The Master of Entrepreneurship & Innovation shall recruit students every spring and fall semester from 2017.
